Dr. Yixuan Han — Doctor of Musical Arts

Dr. Yixuan Han is a distinguished vocal pedagogue and performer, widely recognized for her innovative contributions to vocal education. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree and brings more than 20 years of university-level teaching experience. At the University of North Texas, she studied under renowned vocal pedagogue Dr. Stephen F. Austin and won the 2019 Concerto Competition. Before pursuing her doctoral studies, she earned dual Master’s degrees from the Xinghai Conservatory of Music and the University of Central Oklahoma.

As a performer, Dr. Han has earned top prizes in both national and international competitions, including the Golden Bell Competition of China (2013) and the CCTV Vocal Competition of China (2012). She has appeared in leading roles in major operas such as Rigoletto, La Traviata, Così fan tutte, Die Fledermaus, L’elisir d’amore, The Magic Flute, and Don Giovanni.

Beyond the stage, Dr. Han serves as CEO of HanOpera Music Academy, where she actively shapes the future of vocal education. She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, as well as a founding member and the Artistic Director of the International Association of Music and Arts (IAMA). She has also served as a judge for NATS competitions, further underscoring her leadership and recognition in the global vocal arts community. A pioneer in the field, Dr. Han developed a specialized adaptation of the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) for Chinese art songs, bridging linguistic precision with vocal artistry.
