Kids Music Training with Kodály and Orff Methods

The ages of 4 to 6 are the optimal time for music enlightenment, as proper nurturing during this period can potentially lay the foundation for a lifelong musical talent. However, it's important to use gentle and age-appropriate methods, as their vocal cords are still developing. Our teachers possess qualifications in the world's most advanced music teaching methods, Kodály and Orff Methods, and employ a dual teaching system to make learning music an enjoyable experience for children. This system nurtures a passion for music, fosters interest in music, and establishes the fundamentals of music and singing.

Musical Performance Lesson

This course is designed to greatly increase a student’s musical performance abilities and overall stage presence. Students assume roles in musicals and through the combination of singing and drama skills training, greatly increase their confidence as a performing artist. This course develops many skills that translate well to other aspects of the students’ life, such as public speaking and presenting in front of others. Only students who have participated in this course and undergo systematic training and rehearsals can represent HanOpera in various performances.

Singing Skills Training (all ages)

Based on Dr. Yixuan Han’s systematic training method, this group singing skills class enables the dedicated student to quickly improve all aspects of his/her vocal skills in a relatively short period of time. After systematic voice training / singing lessons, student can better participate in the rehearsal of Musical Theater Performance. Through the training of these systematic courses, the children are finally cultivated into shining stars on the stage.

Music Theory for singers

This class aims to build student's foundational music skills. An understanding of these three skills are necessary for any good vocalist, and a systematic training in these areas will help greatly moving a student from amateur levels toward professional caliber performances. Sight-reading is also a required component of the All Region and All State Selection Process.

1-on-1 Voice Lesson

Taught by Dr. Han and experienced vocal teacher, these classes delve into the technical aspects of voice training, addressing a wide range of issues that individual students may encounter on their vocal journey.
